Cut-throating fines are Romania's answer to a peaceful demonstration

Szeklerlands map from the 18th century
Romania continues with the intimidation tactics against its Hungarian minority in Szeklerland. Only a few days after the demonstration during the Szekler Freedom Day, the Romanian Gendarmerie has started to send fines to the organizers and participants, accusing them practically for high-noise levers during the event!
In some cases, the individual fines reach amounts as high as 2.000 Euros, as the one received by the president of the Szekler National Council.

EFA reacted immediately and sent a letter to the Minister of Interior in Bucharest, signed by its President Francois Alfonsi, asking for the annulment of all existing fines and that no new ones will be issued.
Romania should finally decriminalize its Hungarian minority and seek ways to work with it, rather than trying to strangle it in every possible way.
